MEET PAM
I grew up running around after my mom in her gardens and spent most of high school in the art department. I went off to design school and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design. Soon after, I started my first “real” design job and have been working in the industry in either commercial or residential design ever since, giving me thirty-five years of design experience. A second related career of Floral Design was added to my skill set when I was employed as a part time floral designer and trained at Longwood Gardens. I decorated twenty-one Christmas trees that year and did a lot of beautiful custom floral arrangements and designs. That was the start of many custom floral designs for various events over the past thirty years.
I love doing floral design because it is a multi-sensory medium. The challenge of creating beautiful bouquets from the pictures brides show me is very exciting.
Besides my love of flowers, I thoroughly enjoy teaching my watercolor students, working with my daughter Hannah, who owns Hannah Elizabeth Events, cooking, traveling the world and gardening. A few other interesting things about me: I was a professor of Interior Design, I have exhibited in three art shows, I was a set designer for eight years & an artistic director for three years with a production company in South Central PA, and I have three beautiful children.
